I had my father ask someone if they were coming to the wedding since they hadnt responded yet and they said they never recieved the invite, it is only a few weeks till the wedding and I dont have any extra invites, do I call and put them on the spot, not sure of the etiquette here?

That's a tough one... how close are you with the person/people? If you are close, just call them and ask. If not, I'm not sure what to do. I suppose you could print up your own invite on paper from Michaels? Could Kinkos reproduce one copy of your invite?

im not close with the person at all, she was a work friend of my moms (she is a doctor) I saw her once as a patient, i could call her but I dont want her to feel like she has to answer right then and there and feel wierd you know. but i guess now that she knows she may be expecting a call and if she doenst want to go may have an excuse all ready to go

we had 3 people who didn't get their invites. 2 of them (the invites) showed up after the wedding!
of the 3: Al's sister - we knew she was coming my aunt - we knew she wasn't coming Al's old boss - we called him about the RSVP and thats when we learned they hadn't gotten the invite. We sent them the info (faxed) and they said they were coming. The day of, they never showed and never bothered to call with an explanation

I would call and ask her if she got the invite just as a courtesy call or have your mom call. A family friend didn't receive 2 of my eparty invites. On the third attempt my mom sent it and they got it.

I would call and confirm the address you sent it to, and then ask if they can make it. If they sound insulted just politely explain that there really is no way of knowing whether or not a person actually received the invite unless you see them all the time and/or they send back the response.
