Re: someone help!!
pschica, Hello I'm also a November bride.
I recently bought the 'Buff Brides' and 'Wedding Workout' combos on amazon.com. Both books were $ 25 combined. I really like the motivation tone of the Wedding workout book and the weight training tips in Buff Brides.
But the most motivating thing for me is visualizing myself in a tight pair of jeans and zipping them up without having to '**** it in'. Try to find something realistic to visualize and think of that whenever you want to cut that workout short.
Good luck!!! Do you want to start a workout thread or FM to track progress??

pschica I am in the same boat - sort of. I have always been thin, but this past February I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism. although it does not cause significant weight gain, it does cause (what they call) visible puffiness. It really irritates me b/c I have always been the same size, height weight, etc... since I was 12 yrs old (I am now 30).
I have a very hard time getting motivated b/c of the lack of adrenaline, but also because I think, what's the point if it isn't really going to go away?
Well, I started Windsor Pilates a few weeks ago on the advice of my Dr. because it is low impact & low strain & I love it. It is easy & you don't even have to finish the tape to feel like you accomplished something. PLUS I see myself toning up a bit.
I say just find something that you like & stick with it.
You can even go to your local library & rent tapes before you buy them so you don't waste a bunch of money.
SECONDLY, start drinking water regularly. I know it sounds unbeleivable, but after my diqagnosis I decided to give up coffee, cigarettes, and NO MORE RED BULL! Believe it or not, drinking water regularly has given me the same amount of energy... IF NOT MORE!
Good Luck & feel free to FM me if you need support
BTW... visualization is a very strong tool as well!

Re: someone help!!
Definatly drink lots of water.
I do yoga for beginners and LOVE IT! It has also been wonderful for my back. I even did some of the techniques in my physical therapy. After I do my 20 minutes of yoga I feel like I can do anything.
I have only been doing it for a week so I havent really noticed anything, but I feel great after doing my tape

Re: someone help!!
i'm getting married a few weeks before you and only recently got motivated! what did it for me was bathing suit shopping for the HM. i couldn't stand how i looked!! that motivated me to join curves! i'm also a WW drop-out, but i still follow the basic philosophy. the other big key for me is to be prepared - always buy my healthy snacks when i go food shopping and try to stay away from the junk. if it's not in the house, then i don't crave it!! it is once it makes it into the house that i have to have ALL of it in one sitting

Re: someone help!!
I didnt really get motivated till a couple months before my wedding, but trust me where there's a will, there is definitely a way. I did everything in my power and I was successful. So hang in there

Re: someone help!!
The water will help a lot, just try to limit it in the evening since it WILL keep you up all night going to the bathroom.
I'm addicted to water so I find I wake up thirsty if I miss my daily intake. But if I have too much late at night it wakes me up......

Re: someone help!!
what about using some wedding preparations as a motivator...
say you lose 5 pounds...you get the more expensive tiara that you have been eying... 10 pounds...nicer paper for the programs... 15 pounds...upgrade your honeymoon suite
