Someone hit my car yesterday!

I was looking out the window. I was at my grandma's and I see this guy pull up his truck into the back of my car. I went outside and told him that he just hit my car. He pretended he didn't realize.I said 'I just saw you hit my car and you are still against it.' I moved up my car & I have two nicks in it and the paint came off. I was so annoyed.He had two screws sticking out of his license plate that scraped up my car.Can you believe he also said 'well, people hit my car all the time.' I said 'So you don't have to hit mine!!!' What a jerk!

I didn't bother because I didn't want to go threw the hassel and then risk my insurance going up.
He knew he hit my car because he shook it when he hit it. What a jerk!

did you write down his plate number if you didnt get the insurance? In case it costs a lot to fix? YOu should make him pay!!

this happened to me in a lot in massapequa once, a guy opened his door like an animal!! and hit my new car, it was like 2 months old, I saw a dent, he was like, its not so bad! I said not so bad, the car is new, he gave me his address and phone number
(I wrote down his plate number in case he lied)
He sent me to the dent wizard and paid the bill.....
they sent it directly to him!! JERK

massapequa girls, this happened in that little nothing of a lot at FRa amichi! by manor east so avoid there!! Its tight and people dont care!!!

I don't know.My paint came off where he hit me.
I have the touch up paint but it stinks.It doesn't match the color even though it should.

Sue my car is in the shop right now cause I turn in my lease Tuesday & some JERK KID hit me & got out & looked & left!

My neighbor got his plate info & I tracked his sorry ass down
He is now going to the body shop today to pay the bill

Sue, I got rear ended several months ago and did not want to go through insurance. If someone hits you, you can make a claim through HIS insurance company and let your company know without making a claim. Your ins. will not go up if you call them and tell them that you are NOT making a claim, but that you want to report what happened so they have a record of it on file. When I got hit, I let my ins co know right away and then the kid that hit me just paid me himself. It did not affect my ins premiums.

Some morons will hit you and then go see an attorney and claim that you hit them, blah, blah, blah. Insurance companies get really angry and threaten to disclaim coverage when they find out about an accident months later by someone one other than their policy holder.

I am sure it seems like nothing, but I would cover my you-know-what and make a report with my ins carrier, but not a claim.

Just my two cents!

Thanks Becky. He told me that he needed to move up because the guy behind him boxed him in and he needed to get into his trunk.
I was annoyed at the way people could care less if they damage your things. He didn't even back off my car. I had to pull up and reverse several times before I could get out of that spot.

Sue your insurance would NOT go up if he hit your parked car!! If you are rear ended regardless of the accident or incident it is NOT your fault and your insurance will not go up.
This has happened to me a few times. I must have a sign on my car saying bump me PLEASE!!! On the other hand his insurance would go up.

Do you know who he is? I would do something about this b/c eventually your paint will start chipping around where the original scratch is. It will turn into a mess.

No, I just told him to forget it. I don't know who he is. Its just annoying. Its not the first time someone hit me in a parking spot. One time someone broke my tail-light and it cost me over a hundred dollars to fix and whoever did it just took off. I went into a store and came out and saw my light broken.
