Someone Motivate Me!-Still haven't ordered invites

Geez I CAN NOT for the life of me order the damn invites! I want to order them from notfromabox.com but once I started the ordering process, everything seemed too complicated and I closed out, LOL. I don't know why this is such a pain in the butt considering I am moving well on the other things. This weekend we picked up the bridesmaid dresses, wedding rings, wedding shoes and created our photo card box...but still no invites!

for some reason some things are 'harder' to do than others. For me is was picking a wedding band....It took me 1.5 years to find the right one. I just couldn't commit to picking one out. Hang in there...when the time is right you'll order them...or ask you FI to order them for you...

i had a hard time with invites, too. i wanted to order from the same website as you, but it looked too complicated and a hassle, so i decided i needed to order from a store, where someone could explain everything for me.

order them!!!!!

Thank god i ordered mine early, because when i got them in the mail, they ended up being sooo messed up that i had to make them myself!! If i had waited another few weeks i would have been soooo screwed and probably would have had to spend soo much extra $$ on having them rushed!!!!

I realize that you're getting married 6 weeks after I am, but my invites need to be mailed in 15 days or so.

It took me three weeks to proof them after I placed my order (I was very picky about the spacing). Then it took 10 days to get them. Total time 1 month from order to delivery. It took me four hours to glue my invite into the pocketfold (since there was NO way I was paying $5 extra per invite to have the manufacturer do it for me). The calligrapher has had my invite list since June 30, but I have yet to get UPS confirmation that my envelopes have been delivered to him, and FH and my mother have told me in the past 48 hours that there are problems with the invite list (this after FH actually checked the address proofs that I got back from the calligrapher).

Tomorrow I have to order paper to print direction cards to the ceremony and the reception and call the hotel to get the cards for OOT guests (since I forgot all about this until last week).

With FH & I starting another round of dance lessons - now two nights a week, plus other obligations, just when will I have time to do the directions, stuff the invites and mail them??

You need to get yours ordered ASAP, before you run out of time and wind up paying an arm and a leg for overnight shipping.

How's that for motivation???

I was going to order mine on-line too but it just seemed so complicated. I wound up at The Writing Place in Stony Brook and they were wonderful! Good luck!
