My ice bucket was randomly purchased off our registry a few weeks ago, before my invites even went out. It infuriated FH, because we were debating taking it off because it was kind of expensive (an Oxo Good Grips), and we didn't want someone spending that money on an ice bucket when it could go to something more useful. So of course, it gets bought, not plates or pans, but I digress.
So today, someone bought 2 ice trays. That's it! FH is now even more mad.
But the weirdest part is still not one person has rsvped yes! I just think it's pretty funny that someone would start buying gifts without actually saying they're officially coming to the shower yet.
Do you think someone is trying to stick it to me with all the ice-related products?

you may just have friends, neighbors, colleagues buy you engagement gifts in general.....we did, we got a bunch of stuff off our registry and we didnt have an e-party

haha FH bought that off someones registry once...but just for a laugh, then got them another gift too
maybe they are going in on gifts with others for wine/bar items??hopefully lol

I had stuff come of my registry before my shower invited went out! I suspect some of it was my mom and one of my MOH's.

ok seriosuly this happened to us too!!! My FH decieded to randomly put on our registry a 50 ice bucket that was stainless steel ... I wanted to kill him, but thought let him have his way and then take it off online.. well before I could someone bought the thing!!! I was so upset.. It was the first item that I returned although FH did fight to keep it

Ok very strange bc Ive already had my shower and out of curiosity, I decided to check my BBB registry after reading your post.
Turns out someone bought us our ice bucket and Guinness pint glasses too!! I guess someone is giving them to us as a wedding present?? Or some weirdo is stalking LIW and buying everyone their ice bucket.
