I have to go to the dentist today for emergency surgery on my molar, that cracked and now is a gaping hole! I am not even worried about the tooth I am freaking out that they are putting me to sleep!!!!! I am not a dentist fan at all! my stomach feels sick....

Either way you'll have no idea whats going on and when you do it'll all be over! It's going in that the hardest part, but once it's done, it's done!

totally totallly sympathize with you. I HATE the dentist, but I always have them put me to sleep. What i don't know or see won't hurt me.
You'll be okay...take deep breaths and calm down...It will be over before you know it.

Sleeping is the best way to do...Do nto worry about it think of it as a long nap. I am sure you will catch up on needed rest!!!

Sleep sleep!!! This tooth is so bad they have nothing to grab on to they have to go digging! I know I won't feel anything I am just so afraid of going under and not waking up! lol and than I am afraid of the pain, I can't take vicodin I am hoping they can give me something else...

Dont worry thats the best way to do it is being asleep. See if they can call in a prescription while you are in there so that you dont have to wait for it at the drugstore and you can just take it when you get home.

Awe!!! Don't worry! I went in for my wisdom teeth and that's what I was stressing over. It really was fine but that's what was making me nervous. They know what they are doing and you will be ok!

I hate the dentist, so I feel your pain. I get knots on my stomach everytime I have to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ive had so much dental work done its not even funny...comming up to NY in a week for more GRRR They know what they are doing...trust me you want to be a sleep if they are pulling anything out or cutting anything......the harder to deal when you see whats going on

Something similar happened to me but the dentist just put the needle in my gums to numb it and i was awake during the whole procedure. Maybe you can ask your dentist to do that instead.
