I know when my shower is, due to me having to travel alot for work this month, and my mom had to know if I would be in town. Anyway, my shower is the 23rd, and there are only like 7 items off my registry. Im not being greedy, but am I going to have any presents? :( Do people usually wait?

I think a lot of people wait till the last minute to get gifts. Don't worry I am sure you are going to get lots of gifts. If not maybe a lot of gift cards and then you can buy what you want. when you are ready for it. You still have about 2 weeks, still pleanty of time for people to shop.

Try not to sweat it - I've read that most people wait until 2 days before an event to purchase gifts from a registry.

A lot of people do wait until the last minute, but I did not get a lot off my registries at all. A little disappointing, but I got A LOT of cash, so I can go buy stuff that I didn't get!

a lot of people wait till the last minute. Although I totally understand why you feel the way you do.
I'm sure you'll get lots of stuff!

I think people wait until the last minute because they don't want you to know when your shower actually is!
Have fun and enjoy!

Re: Someone please cheer me up re: my registry
I never buy gifts more than a week in advance (usually, more like 2 or 3 days)! I'm such a slacker. And I've been shopping for a lot of showers lately, and noticed that I am not alone.

They do wait last minute and they also forget to tell the person at the register that its for a shower.. Don't worry

I usually wait too - unless I know exactly what the person really wants - then I try to snatch that gift up immediately!

I wouldnt stress over it. Lots of people shop last minute, or forget to take things off the registry. I do both so... I'm sure you'll be pleased with your gifts.

I am a huge culprit of that! I wait until the very last minute---I sometimes even go THE DAY of the party-no worries, things will start to disapear before you know it!
