Someone please tell me where my ankles went?

Between teaching today and then after work my friend (who is due 2 weeks before me) and I went to BRU's to look at stuff and when I came home I took off my shoes and socks and realized I don't have ankles anymore and that my legs are ridiculously swollen from being on my feet so much today

Oh well the joys of pregnancy

ankles, what ankles??? I haven't seen them or my feet in a few months Thank god this is all worth it in the end!

Im sorry but I LOL'd when I saw the subject line. I feel your pain. OK not right now since Im not preggo but with both my kids I had tankles - not even cankles - thighs that went right into the ankles. Ugh!!! Hang in there!! I remember when the swelling went away and marvelling at how slim my ankles were again.

Get em up high as much as possible. Sit on the couch with 3 pillows underneath, it was the only thing that I found that really helped.

I JUST got my ankles back...after about 5 months!! Don't worry Jaime, they're in there somewhere and they WILL return

yeah....they go on vacation around the 8th month...they come back when the coast is clear!!

Well 6-8 glasses of water later they came back this morning. However, third period I walked around the school 1 time and did my morning errands and BOOM they are gone again. I think my knees are too. Now I know why you don't see that many pregnant ladies later in the pregnancy wearing skirts and dresses often- not pretty.


All I had this morning was a bagel. Oh well. It doesn't hurt so I don't mind-but I think I am going to try getting some support knee hi's and see if that helps at all since I am on my feet all day.

You're nearing home stretch!! I remember the days where I could actually make a finger indentation in my leg/ankle. I had to run around in flip flops or slippers the last few weeks. Not fun or pretty

Hang in there girlie. You'll feel like a new woman in no time with the added bonus of a beautiful baby to boot!
