I was just going to say the same thing as Lisa. Not only did this person respond to a post promoting one particular florist, but they responded to a very old post. Seems strange to me. I can't imagine the Scotto Brothers closing all of their catering halls at once, especially since they've been expanding over the last couple of years. This doesn't sound real to me.

it sounds fishy, but it makes me angry that people come here to alarm the brides that have bussines with those venues (scotto brothers and wattermill) The scotto website is updated and definitely does not say anything about closing; in addition, I got an invitation for their next show case!

Sounds like it an unethical marketing attempt. I do not believe a word of it. When I was looking for Halls, Chateau Briand and Westbury manor was nothing but good experiences and on the top of my list . Ironically I went to the other halls mentioned and the service was nothing in comparison. We got treated much better at CB and Westbury. At one of the 'other' halls mentioned one of the receptionist did not greet us at the door and had us waiting for a while before she stared blankly at us and waited for us to talk to her!! I have more to say but do not wish to alarm any brides on the board.

I agree with the way that person stated it that it does sound fishy and I dont want to start rumors but my husband told me the same thing about a week ago. This is in no way to alarm scotto brother brides but even if it is a rumor, I know I would have liked to know if I were one of their future brides. My husband works in construction and hears a lot of inside deals, some of which are true others fall through but he did hear that all of the scotto brothers establishments were bought by the same people who own miracle mile on northern boulevard in Manhasset.

Again, I do not know if this is true or not but I did hear it as well. Unless it is one of those rumors that gets out of hand, passed on and on. I looked at the website as well, and it does seem to be updated with no information about that. I just wanted to pass on what I have heard as well. Good luck ladies!

I cant imagine the Watermill doing bad. They have such a great reputation.

Once I saw this I said, I hope no Scotto Bride believes this, they better call and calm their nerves. Ladies this would have been out there already, not some anonymous poster telling us such fairytale.
