someone to marry us

someone to marry us

I am getting married at the Watermill in Smithtown. I am Catholic, but my fh and I decided we wanted to marry at the reception site
(we are not often church goers)
Can we still be married by a priest? If anyone has any insight into this it would be much appreciated!

Yes. I remember seeing some ads for priests who do ceremonies outside the church. I think it was in LI Wedding Pages Mag. but I just threw all mine away. I know you can get them free lots of places though. Hope this helps.

I have been told that it is nearly impossible to get a Catholic priest to marry you outside of a church. I am looking into this myself. Let me know if you get any good news!

The Catholic Church will not recognize a ceromony that takes place outside of the church. It must take placed inside the church.
