Re: someone who isnt comng to my wedding
Why don't you give him a call? I don't think he'd be upset if you called to ask him why.

I agree...give him a call. Guys aren't as sensitive to this stuff as we are. He probably didn't realize that he should put an explanation.

you are right! he probably didnt realize he should put an explanation.
well i talked to my best friend (a BM) and now i know he doesnt suddenly hate me or anything.....wfew i feel better
She said that he has a 'gun test' that day (he is in the police academy) and that he asked if he could miss it...and his supervisor said, yeah--but then you wont have a gun! so now i totally understand. It IS during the day (but out in suffolk i think....cause i think he is going to be a suffolk county cop) so i am going to call him and tell him i dont care what time he gets there (even if it is really late) i wnat him to know he is still welcome.
ALso when i am in NY the week before i will tell him we will go for dinner or drinks or whatever
WOW! i feel much better now

Great! I'm glad you're okay with it,
But I'm confused: So when people say no they are supposed to explain why?

They don't have to explain why. I just think she was taken back by this particular guest responding no. It's prob. a person who she expected to come, therefore for her own piece of mind wanted an explanation.

Good thing you cleared that up! And I agree, guys are totally not sensitive to these things, he probably felt bad, but was responsible enough to RSVP no. He sunds like a grea guy - wish him luck on his test! And yes, tell him to get his butt over there, even if it's late!

Re: someone who isnt comng to my wedding
i responded no to a wedding recently and sent a follow up email to her (not a good friend at all) explaining why - I just felt like it was neccesary to do...
