Somerley Room-Fox Hollow Visit Today-Pics in Album

Went to Fox Hollow today to visit the Somerley Room. It is absolutely beautiful in person and pictures do not give in justice. They are still working on some things there and it is not completely done yet. We saw the bridal suite upstairs for that room and it is basically the size of a studio apartment. If you have a huge bridal party...everyone would fit in perfectly. Also, they have a great lobby room for guests when they arrive early to hang out. If you are having a afternoon wedding like me, then they set up a hospitality bar there with snacks, coffee and tea. The main room is huge and the murals on the wall are prettier in person. Again, for afternoon weddings, i love the glass ceiling and pray for a sunny day cause it adds a nice glow to the room.


They did say that they are adding some new touches. Some of those are:
They will be hanging a huge mirror over the fireplace. They will be adding more lights. They are changing the wallpaper in the cocktail hour room. They will be installing an elevator to the bridal suite upstairs. They will be adding TV's in the Somerley room. They will landscape the outdoor area some more.

All in all the room is beautiful and i am happy i got in with pre construction price because now its expensive. Check out some pics in my album

To be completely honest, I'm not the biggest Fox Hollow fan... I've been there for a number of events and it's just not my kind of place,

BUT

This new room is REALLY beautiful. It reminds me of the gorgeous lodge my best HS friend got married in upstate. It's just lovely.

I went to see it yesterday. You got some great pictures, mine didn't come out that good. The room is amazing and I love what they did with the ceremony area. I am having my ceremony there and hopefully we will be able to be outside.

Yes the outdoor area is great. I will actually having my ceremony there too in front of the fireplace

CRASHING!! I'm so glad they are changing the wallpaper in the cocktail room, that was the one thing that bothered about that space! They also told me when I was there a few weeks ago that they would be putting in a circular drive in front of the entrance and putting up trees so that the view from the ballroom would look at trees/garden and not the parking lot.

Yep, they are gonna do that also which is great. and make it more private too.

this room is gorgeous..i wish it would hold up to 300 i would so go and change it i love my room but this room is wow
