Something is wrong with my Doggy

Something is wrong with my Doggy

I really cant afford this right now... ughhhh!!!

My beagle is having excessive drooling out of no where. Yesterday he left a BIG wet stain on the couch, today he left another smaller stain and just now he drooled on both of my legs!!!! He was sleeping on them and I was busy on the compute and didnt even realize it!

Fh and I are already planning on taking him to the vet tomorrow. Last time we took him to the vet as an emergency it cost $100 for them to just look at my baby and take his temperature.

I read online that he might have something caught in his gums or something but we dont see anything. Anyone have this problem before?

My poor baby

oh no! Even though you say you can't afford it I would look into it. My dog is my baby and I couldnt stand the thought of not being able to fix him if something were wrong because its not in the budget. I hope he gets well soon!

Our Basset Hound was drooling all over and showing signs of pain. When we took her to the vet, they told us that drooling is a sign of nausea. She had a blockage in her intestines...so definitely take your poor baby Beagle in ASAP!

ETA: She hadn't pooped in awhile, and they gave her something to loosen things up, and she was fine in a few days. The expensive part of the vet visit were the x-rays to see what was up!

Awwww I know... we have to take him because its totally NOT like him to be doing that. Fh and I brushed his teeth like crazy, gave him cookies, and just gave him rawhide to try to clean out his teeth lol I think we are going to make our baby fat!

He is normal except when hes laying down and thats when the drooling turns into puddles

Regardless of price, I'd take him. Its your dog.

I believe there is a vet that is an 09 bride.

If you fear there is a blockage causing the nausea I've heard that it's good to give your dog a spoonful of olive oil in his or her food.

And, I've also heard rawhide is actually not good for dogs so you might want to be careful with that!

Good luck! Keep us updated! Poor pooch!

yea once my dog wasn't going to the bathroom for like days, and we gave her some vege oil on a cracker, and like magic 5 mins later she went and was back to her old self. I have a yorkie.

I don't think it would hurt your dog if you gave it a try. Then if the drooling stops, you knew it was something that needed a little flushing

Good info on using the oil! I hope it never happens again, but if it does, we know to try it...because i don't think it can hurt!

With pets I think a lot of us get that first time parents syndrome where you have no idea wt f is going on...and you rush to the vet! Once it happens once, though, you're a pro!

I hope the Beagle is feeling better!!!

Re: Something is wrong with my Doggy

I recommend you take him to the vet.

Is he eating? Vomiting? How's his attittude? lethargic? Has he had people food recently or a change in diet? Missing toys? Chewing up the carpet, paper towels etc? Some dogs will get things stuck in their mouth- typically will paw at their muzzle.

How is he doing?

FM with any questions.
