Something old

What would one consider as something old. I am getting married on Saturday and I am not sure if i have something old :( Does earrings from last year count as old???

If something is old and borrowed does that count? I have borrowed the crinoline from a friend who got married 13 years ago??

TIA

My old, borrowed and blue were all the same thing, so do what you want.

The crinoline would work, so would the earrings.

Funny that you posted this. I had the same dilema. I used my grandmother's hankerchief that she gave me for the day as old and borrowed. Couldn't think of anything else borrowed so it worked!

I would go with the crinoline as both. Why not!

Re: Something old

it really is up to you.

the point of it all is this:

something old... so that you don't forget who you are in your new life. something to hold on to the past.

something new... to celebrate your new life.

something borrowed... to make sure you keep in contact with the people in your life (before you became a bride)... this means that you have to see the lender again when you return it.

something blue... original color of purity in the bible

a sixpense in your shoe... as a token to your future financial well-being

You def sound like a bride who is getting married this weekend!

I think if it's old and borrowed then it's ok. Killing two birds with one stone.

At least 3 out of 4 of mine will all be the same thing!

We are hoping to have a diamond FH's uncle left him set in my gradmother's engagement setting as a wedding gift. There is room for baguettes on the sides, so we are going to have sapphires put there.

Something old - diamond and setting
Something new - the sapphires
Something blue - sapphires

I told FH if we put it on a credit card and pay it off after the wedding, it'll also be something borrowed!

The Crinoline is your borrowed and the earrings can be your old! What do you have going on for your new and your blue?
