Something old, new, borrowed and blue

Hi- My friend got married in June and she wore a old ring that is her Grandmothers (on her right hand)-that was her old and borrowed. I loved the idea- so I just called my Grandmother and asked her if she had a ring or braclet or something old and sentimental that I could wear on my wedding day. She cried and was so happy I asked her. She thinks she still might have the garter she wore at her wedding in 1947 and it's blue! I just thought I would share this idea. Have fun planning ladies!!!

Something old, new, borrowed and blue

I'm going to wear my great-grandmothers cameo pin tied on a blue ribbon around my wrist. It was given to me when she passed away and I always wanted to wear it at my wedding. It's so special to share your family memories at your wedding.

Something old, new, borrowed and blue(non-traditional)

I once saw a bride on TLC's 'The Wedding Story' w/ blue toe nails! It looked really cute.

Something old, new, borrowed and blue

I read somewhere that your wedding gown can be considered 'the new'

Something old, new, borrowed and blue

I did my gown as new, my grandmother's engagement ring (from 1941) as old, my garter was blue and I borrowed from my mother a pearl and gold pin my grandfather gave my grandmother and pinned it onto my slip under my dress. A friend of mine actually wore blue plaid stockings under her gown as her something blue which no one saw until she was dancing at the reception and boy was it a great site!! LOL
