something old, something new...

something old & blue - ring FH got me for my 22nd bday - it's a huge blue topaz
something new -dress, etc
something borrowed - no clue

My wedding gift will be 3 out of 4 and then I am borrowing jewelry from my mom to wear the day of the wedding.

My Fi is setting a diamond he got from his late uncle in my gradmother's engagement ring setting for me. Where the baguettes were, he is having sapphires put in. So the ring and diamond are old, the sapphires are new and blue. I told him if he put it on the credit card and we don't pay it off until after the wedding, it'd be borrowed, too. (I was jk, though. I'm borrowing jewelry from my mother to wear that day for the 'something borrowed' part)

I was thinking about the whole something new.. like you said does the dress and all that you bought to wear on your day count as something new?

Something old- my sister had my mom's shower favor pinned in her dress- it was a mini garter

Something new- my dress

Something borrowed- my sister's veil

Something blue- my garter will have blue in it.
