Something Old, Something New...

Are all you ladies following the rule that you need something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue? My MOH just bought me a planner and it explains the reasoning behind each thing and it says that there is another line that people usually forget....a sixpence in your shoe! <- It's supposed to bring you wealth!

For those of you who are doing it, have you figured out what your using for each part?

I'm kinda supersticious so I'm doing it.

Something old - my mom's garter from her second wedding in '97. My brother caught it so she still has it!!! It's been dry cleaned and is good as new

Something new- my dress and my shoes.

Something borrowed- this is where I have NO idea!!!!!

Something blue- I bought the blue 'I Do' crystals for the bottom of my shoes.

And MOH looked up sixpences online, she's going to buy me one. It can't hurt right?

I have most all of it figured out...

Something old- a handmade lace hankerchief that a woman made for me when I was born it actually has a poem attached to it explaining that it should be used for the wedding. It will most likely use it in my garter.

Something borrowed- My mom has a small rosary that she had on her communion dress I want it to hang in my bouquet.

Something new-Well everything basically.

Something blue is the issue. I'm not and blue person at all. I'm trying to figure something out that won't be seen. Maybe the I DO to go on the bottom of my shoes.

Something- old the diamond bracelet I got for my girls my mom bought me and I have been wearing it

Something New- I was able to purchase rosary beads at the Vatican this year when I went to Italy and I got to dip them in the holy water at St. Peters. I will be wrapping that around the bottom of my bouquet.

Something borrowed- I still dunno yet

Something blue- I am getting some blue undies

I'm def doing it as I'm superstitious...

My mother said I could borrow her blue diamond ring...that could be something old, something borrowed, and something blue....

But here is what i'm thinking:

Something old: I want to buy a vintage piece of jewelry or brooch for hair, bok, or shoes

Something new: dress

Something borrowed: ring from mom

Something Blue: I really want to have my soles painted blue, but if I don't do that I will write my wedding date on them in blue ink.

Something New: my dress
Something Old: my underwear - lol!
Something Blue: i bought a wedding dress label that is stiched in blue handwriting
Something Borrowed: i'm going to borrow some hair pins from my sister or something
Sixpence in your show - this came from Engalnd - so you can use the english equivilant - a penny
