Hey everyone! I have, yet again, another question for you. My mom keeps telling me that she feels, given our close relationship, that she should be more involved in the wedding day. I have involved her (perhaps too much! ) in the planning but she wants something special on the wedding day. She suggested walking down the aisle with me and my dad but I would like it to be just me and my father because we aren't as close as I'd like and I think it could be a special moment for us. She also mentioned having a dance for me and her during the reception but I feel like there are already a million things going on (toasts, first dance, father/daughter dance, mother/son dance, anniversary dance) and I'm sure people would like to have their time to party on the dance floor! So I am trying to come up with something creative and special to make her feel more recognized, I guess. Any idea?
That's kind of tricky, especially when you already have so much that you want to do during the reception!
This may not be what you're looking for, but if your parents are still married, what about having the DJ play their wedding song and acknowledge them that way?

I saw that at a wedding and thought that it was sweet.

I saw it also at a wedding last year and loved the idea. I want to do it at my wedding for both of our parents. It might get to be a lot because we are also doing this for my cousin and his wife (our wedding day will be their 4-year anniversary), but I don't care. There will be plenty of time for dancing!
