i'm really done with all the drama so i have a legitimate wedding question
i'm contemplating my dessert portion of our reception. my wedding is during the day, so i don't want anything to heavy. but i'm contemplating that chocolate fountain thing.
what are all of you doing?

Just cake and little pastries on the tables. No $$ for a Viennesse hour or the chocolate fountain.

Re: something wedding related!!!
We get a dessert with our wedding cake SOO we'll be having a dessert, a mini-V and a cake.
I think a fountain is fine for the daytime. Normally you usually get alot of fruit to dip (as well as some other things) so that's fairly light IMO.

Re: something wedding related!!!
So far we have our cake and a little assortment of desserts places on every table. I don't think we'll be doing the VH, I think I'd rather spend that extra money on a station or two added to my cocktail hour...but who knows things might change?!

Do you mean to rent one or what would it cost pp at your hall? My hall I think the chocolate fountain is $4 pp. I don't know what it would cost to rent one.

Depends, for my hall the chocolate fountain comes with the V-Hour which is $15pp. To rent the chocolate fountain setup only I THINK is in the neighborhood of $500....but don't quote me cuz I could be wrong.
You can also have an outside vendor do the fountain but I'm not really sure how that works

Just a cake.
Be careful with the fountain-I was at an expo and we had it and it splashed all over and made a mess on the table. I wouldn't want that on my gown nor anyone elses. It was delishous though

I am not 100% positive but I think it was around $350-400 for my RH...

cake n V hour
speakin of cakes.
does 100$ per layer sound about right...like how many tiers it is i guess?
edit:
if the V hour wasnt like a must do thats included with our hall...for a sat nite...i wouldnt do it either
but the price per person with it was fine for us so.
but trust me..i always said i wouldnt do it

my bakery is charging me per serving- i think it was $500 for 150 servings (includes delivery, setup and also the cake topper for the anniversary)
