grow some F-ing balls! We were just on the phone, he is driving home from NJ, just before the GWB. We were talking and all the sudden he goes 'Mother F'er, someone just hit me.' So we hang up. He calls me back just now and said that he got the guys license plate # but he thought the guy was going to attack him so he got in his car and left. Apparently when he showed the guy the damage the guy was like 'there's nothing wrong' and started pushing him. You would think FH would pull over and call the cops and report a hit and run and say the guy assaulted him...but no he's like I don't want to be bother. It makes me so mad, because if that was me I would have pushed the guy back or worse. But the least he could do is call and report that guy and he isn't even gonna do that! Grrr!

I feel bad for feeling like this. FH is a sweetheart and that is part of why I love him. I just wish he would stand up for himself sometimes.

Listen, be glad your FH didnt 'grow some balls'. lol. Had that been my FH, you would be reading a new post saying ' OMG, FH is in jail!!! I have to cancel the wedding! ' He has such a bad temper, that God forbid that jerk would have put his hands on him.....I don't even want to think about it.....
But don't make your FH feel bad. Poor guy prob. feels embarrassed enough, don't make him feel like he's any less of a man (whatever that is these days). If there was significant damage to his car, have him report it to the police and his insurance company. The license plate should be enough.

I totally understand that he isn't the type to fight and I don't really blame him for getting back in his car and leaving. The part that bugs me is that he wouldn't pull back over and call the cops. The guy wanted to bully FH into getting out of paying for any damage to his car, and that is exactly what FH is letting him do.

I understand what you are saying. But at the same time, maybe FH felt that the damage wasn't that serious and didn't want to be bothered? I mean it depends, if there is only a few scratches on the car (nothing serious at all) then whatever. BUT if there is a dent on it or significant damage, then I agree w. you that he should have called the cops. Have you seen the damage to the car yet?

My Fh is the same way he lets everything go!
See me this one I would be happy he didnt have the balls for, only because how many cases have you seen about people pulling out a knife or gun.
But you are right he should have stayed behind and called the cops!!!!

Yes he should have reported the guy, but at least he didn't get physical with him. I can imagine my FH in that situation and it wouldn't be good. He may not have made the best decision, but he also didn't make the worst.

I haven't seen the damage-he's still on his way home from NJ. He said the back bumper has a scratch in it. Fh and I are big car people and I know I am gonna hear it from him now how his car has a scratch in it.
Just on the principle that the guy could have paid like $200 out of pocket to have FH's bumper fixed and instead he chose to act like an A S S, I would have called the cops. The scratch can probably be buffed out for all I know, but like I said it's the principle of it.
Thanks girls for understanding...I just needed to vent about it, cause it pisses me off that he let someone take advantage of the fact he is a good guy.

Re: Sometimes I wish FH would...
glad FH is ok and did not escalate physically but he needs to report the hit/accident. never know- guy could have gotten his plate and call and report the hit.
