when we get so far into a relationship to this really serious point, the incredible glow of a new relationship.
I was just in bed reading a book and winding down for bed, and my phone rang. I knew right away from the ring tone that it was my best friend (and moh), so I knew either something really incredible had happened, or something really bad, for her to call so late...
And she was calling because the guy she's been dating and she just decided that they were officially boyfriend/girlfriend! She was so excited and so happy... I don't think she could have been any happier or more excited if she were calling to tell me that she were engaged. And I can't even express how happy I am for her - she's the most deserving person I've ever met, and it's been such a long time since she had a guy who truly made her happy and deserved her - her last real boyfriend was a long while ago, and he was a pretty nasty piece of work - very controlling and emotionally abusive, and a cheater on top of that.
Anyway... I just wanted to share... I think we forget sometimes how incredible it is just to have found that kind of special recipricol love, and how incredible and exciting just the relationship itself can be, even without a wedding in the picture!

Re: sometimes we forget...
You know sometimes i think that way too. When people see me and My FH they ask us how long we have been together and automatically assume it has been only a few months, because we are so loving toward one another and thats the way we always have been. And although we are crazy in love with one another, after 5 years the world of routine starts to catch up with you..Unfortunatly!! you know work and home and hang out and plan and then the next day all over again! and of course we try to break the routine pretty often... BUT, after all this time I have realized that every realtionship goes through stages and I really dont feel like anything is 'old'. People have asked me if im bored after all this time ( you knwo the same person for some long doing the same things)....My answer is always 'NO' because althougth sometimes everyday life may feel like it... it is never old. There is always something new. We are always experiencing new things with eachother. 1st we started going out and that was new. & then throughout our relationship we had a whole bunch of news... then we got engaged and that is new. then we will get married and that will be new. Now we are househunting TOGETHER and that is new. then we will be living with eachother for the 1st time and that is new... Then babies.. Im sure you girls get my point.... Bottom line is that try no to think of everyday life and think of the hwole picture as a whole... there is a joy and excitment in every step of the way!!! If you found the love of your life then youw ill always look foward the that 'new' step. I hope all you girsl out there are with MR. RIGHT..the one who make u look foward to 'new' together. **sorry this was so long, just expressing thoughts**

all of FH and mine's friends love seeing us together--cause i definetely think we are one of the most loving couples compared to them all. lol i still feel that way about my FH--he brings a smile to my face like no one else.
it's nice that your frined has a new BF. that's so awesome. now come thinks like '1 month anniversary' and things like 'The first time we....went to a move....went to a show.....first wknd outing...first vacation.' soooooo cute!!
