Song after vows

Song after vows

We are having a casual wedding, outdoor ceremony leading right into the CH and I need a song for when FH and I walk back down the aisle but something fun and to set the mood. My thoughts were Oasis 'Live Forever', and DMB 'Two Step', but they are not JUST RIGHT. Any suggestions?
TIA

I was thinking about using All You Need is Love by the Beatles.

What song are you using to walk down the aisle? I don't want to use Here Comes the Bride...

That's what we used. I'd just make sure that the DJ or whoever takes the intro out - otherwise everyone will think you're French!

We are walking down the aisle to Pachebel's canon in d minor. My band leader told me that a lot of Rabbis wont allow 'here comes the bride' (nor will a lot of jewish guests approve) because it's by a german composer. I have no idea what i'll use after vows are exchanged. I'll have to speak to my band

Oy, your band leader has a skewed view of why 'Here Comes The Bride' is disapproved of.

1. Pachelbel was German. No one has any problem with Pachelbel. My own Uncle and Aunt used Canon in D (it's Major, by the way), and we're Jewish.
2. Wagner, the guy who wrote 'Here Comes The Bride' (or The Wedding March, as it's called) was a RAVING ANTI-SEMITE.
3. Wagner was Hitler's favorite composer. So not only was Hitler a lunatic, he had extraordinarily bad taste in music.
4. In the Opera that The Wedding March is played, the couple getting married is, unbeknownst to them, BROTHER AND SISTER. Eww. Gross.

Thanks, I like Pachelbel's Canon much better anyway. Our band leader didn't go into detail about 'here comes the bride', he just told us our rabbi might not officiate if we used it.

I'm sure he said D minor though...I even downloaded it on my mp3.

My cousin is actually going to be doing our ceremony music - he's a great musician and I asked him to play the guitar....hopefully it will work out, or I'm just going to have the dj play the music - I just really didn't want to spend another $150 for that. Plus I thought it would be much more special to have my cuz do it.

I think a great alternative to 'Here Comes The Bride' is 'Here Comes The Sun' by the Beatles. Also, after vows how about 'Clocks' by Coldplay or Better Together by Jack Johnson (if your locale is beach themed)!

Good Luck!

WOW We really like that Better Together song. It is so 'us'. Thank you so much.

Why would anyone want to walk down to a song in a minor key?

I never knew number 4! Gotta love Wagner.

I don't really get why the Wedding March is so popular anyway... it's a little clunky sounding for my tastes.
