My dad and I danced to Elivs, The Wonder of You. It was upbeat and we wanted something that sounded happy.

I am dancing to Sunshine of my life by Stevie Wonder.

Hmm... 'Only You' is such a great song, it's hard to think of other New Wave ones that would work.

'True Colors' by Cyndi Lauper isn't exactly New Wave, but it might fit your vibe.

How about 'Drive' by the Cars? Are the lyrics too 'break up'-y?

I'm on the case! Give me a few minutes...

Two more New Wave songs that come to mind:

'True' by Spandau Ballet ('I know this much is true...')

'Forever Young' by Alphaville (NOT Rod Stewart! Although I've seen that used at a wedding before)
