Song ideas - Please help!!

Song ideas - Please help!!

When DH & I got married, we made CD's as a favor with our favorite love songs on it. We would like to do something similar for Luke's Christening party with Baby-related songs but need some help with songs to include. So far I have songs like 'Baby Mine' from Dumbo, 'Beautiful Boy' by John Lennon, 'You'll be Blessed' by Elton John, 'Be My Baby' by the Ronettes...so you can see it will be an eclectic mix.

If anybody can suggest some songs, I'd really appreciate it. It was much easier to come up with the Love Songs!

Thanks!

Child of Mine by Carole King. It's one of my favorite songs. Also Thank God for Kids by the Oakridge Boys.

Elizabeth, when is his christening ? I havent decided on a date yet. I really wanted this cold winter to be over with, so the chances of bad weather are slim ! Im doing it in late march/early April (Shame shame on me for waiting so long !)

I'm doing this for my friend's baby shower.

Lullabye by Billy Joel off his River of Dreams CD
Itsy Bitsy Spider by Carly Simon
Godspeed by the Dixie Chicks (appopriate for a little boy)

These are what I'm using. I might steal some of your ideas too.

How about, 'My Baby You', by Marc Anthony. Its a song he wrote to his daughter, Arianna, but I think it would be nice anyway! :)

Re: Song ideas - Please help!!

GREAT SUGGESTIONS!!!!!!!!!!!! THANKS!

Anna-Luke is being Christened on February 9th. t was originally going to be January 12th but I rescheduled b/c he was supposed to have hernia surgery on Jan 6th. The surgery never happened b/c he had a cold and I'm still waiting to reschedule.

I don't think it's so bad to wait till the Spring for John Anthony. I might have waited till the Spring also but my brother also wants to have my nephew Christened and we don't want to have them too close together and he wanted to let me have ours first since it's our first child.

I went with my SIL (aka 'The Godmother') to pick out his outfit last weekend. He's going to look so handsome.
