OK so FH and I are young and so I'm trying to avoid my wedding looking like a sweet 16.. bc i look 12 haha. I love to dance so do the majority of ppl coming to the wedding.. 90% is in their 30's or early 40's. I'm thinking doing a lot of house music.. some reggaeton.. spanish dance music .. a few R&B and some 80's rock type songs... anybody have any suggestions ??? Also suggestions for sit down music.. I have NO IDEA wat to do for that???

Some old school freestyle would get people on the dance floor. Especially if a lot of your guests are within the 30-40 year age range. People love to dance to freestyle!

As far as our sit down/dinner music is concerned, we will have our DJ take car of that for us. My FH and I are young as well (24 and 27) and alot of the ppl coming to our wedding are my college friends, and his work buddies so we want fun, young music. Plus we are big fans of 80's pop and rock music. We are defiantely not going to play too much hip hop, I HATE reaggaeton, and oldies. Plus my family are from the islands so we will def have raggea (but old school stuff), and FH is Polish so we def have to have some Polish songs....i say, go with what you love so you can enjoy your PAR-TAY!!!!

my FH is a DJ... You can do NO WRONG with 70s funk & disco. KC & the Sunshine band, Kool & the Gang, earth wind & Fire etc etc
and lots of motown. songs that people know.
I looooove house music but unless the majority of your guests love it, you can alienate them.

Billy Joel stuff is always good too, everyone from NY loves him for the most part.
I know what you mean though, we're really young too (23 and 22) so we want to make sure we include all age groups and not have all the older people pissed off that we didn't include their music!
