Hmmm...cute title! Wonder if she's a little deprived...

I remember loving her in college, just b/c she sang about things that most women weren't singing about. It was very powerful and liberating at the time.

She toned it way down in later albums...now she's kind of 'safe' and boring.

It's like when Alanis Morisset (sp?) first came out. Her big song (I don't even remember it now) was so raunchy that it got everyone's attention, but later songs weren't really like that at all.

Is it strange to say I love the song?!!

I remember working at my college radio station and reading an artcile about 'Exile In Guyville' when it came out...I was blow away by both the sexual frankness and the 'hooks' of all her songs...
I once got the chance to ask Liz about whether or not this sexual frankness ('Flower', in particular) turned off female listeners, while turning on male listeners. She said she didn't think so, that she gets about 60% females at her shows and (her words): 'come out of her shows looking like they want to hump'.

LOL I had a feeling it was Liz Phair. It's definitely her kind of lyrics.

I don't know if I've just gotten too used to this song, but I think a song off her last album was even more graffic: 'H.W.C.' (which stood for Hot White C**).
DW likes to call Liz bad names

I don't know where she would get that impression though!
