Re: songs that must be played
Your DJ is requesting a list of 70 songs you want played? That's interesting to me b/c my brother is a DJ and that is like his biggest pet peeve - when a bride (or whoever the party/event is for) gives him this massive list of 'must-haves.' He told me under NO circumstances am I to do that to our wedding DJ (his friend) LOL. He said simply give him a list of a few types of music you like, a couple of songs you DEF want played, a few you DON'T want played and then let him do his job!! I also trust my DJ implicitly though, since he IS my brother's friend, so I guess I am in a slightly diff situation LOL. It's always interesting to hear/see others' viewpoints.

Re: songs that must be played
i dont think you need to give him ALL 70 songs. Just give him the list of must played songs, the list of DO NOT PLAY songs, and then give him maybe types of music or artists you particularly want to hear.

Re: songs that must be played
I agree, I think he meant he'd play 70 songs, and you should give him a short list of the ones he must include, not the whole play list.

Re: songs that must be played
I am giving my DJ a list of all the songs I want to play. Its my wedding and I want to hear what I want, not what the DJ wants. Of course I am going to ask his opinion on what songs get the dance floor moving, but whether or not its his pet peeve I don't care, I am paying him and he's going to play what I want. My DJ was totally fine with it, he said it makes his job easier!

Re: songs that must be played
My dj did not tell me to give him a list of 70 songs he told me it is usually about 70 songs and to give him an idea of what I want played. I am giving him an idea of what we want to hear so I was just asking you ladies for some help so I dont forget any great songs He is also a friend so he is helping me out so I know whats going on he will play songs I dont request because I trust his judgement thats why I got him

We didnt give the DJ a list, I think I gave him like 5 songs I had to hear, 2 I DID NOT want to hear.
I felt like he was the professional and Im not~play what keeps people dancing and enjoying themselves...and he did
