Soo I was initially worried we wouldn't meet our minimum...

Silly Mer! We finally compiled everyone's 'first draft' guest list together today. We want to have 175 TOPS at the party. Altogether with our parents and us we have an invite list of close to 250!!!!!! EEP! When we cut out people we know won't come it is still around 230 to invite! So basically we are going in for round 2, and telling FH's parents and my mom to cut it down. We only have 45 people and my dad kept his very small so the burden needs to be on my mom (who gave me a list of 77 when I said 50) and FILs (who gave me 80 when I said 65). Let the fun begin!

ooof. good luck. for me and fh the guest list has been by far the worst part.

ughhh that really sux. 80 people is a big difference and a lot more money to budget for the RH. i hope they're able to cut the numbers without any drama.

Do any of the parents know the capacity of the RH?

If not, you can totally fudge the number for the max capacity.

thanks girls!

they know the max and also they have ALL commented about how the RH is on the small side - you think they would take that into account!

my mom isn;t able to give us any $$ (my dad and FILs are paying - my dad is giving most and FILs are helping) so mom told me freely i should cut out whoever i like because she understands she can't pay. I told FH if his parents can't cut people they will have to pay a bit more to cover it - at first he seemed to think that wasn't fair but in the end realized it is. he is gonna talk to his parents. they are usually very reasonable people so hopefully this won't be a nightmare!!!
