have any of you read them? i heard they were good, and i just started to read the first one, but i dunno if im 'hooked' yet...do they get better?

yea, they do get better. i read all of them before i ever even saw true blood and was obsessed with the them. a lot of the stuff on the show does not happen in the books but the books are still really good!

Yes! They get better! I wasn't sold after the first one either but I just finished the 6th (or maybe the 7th).

They do get better. Much better. The first one I only read because of the show and I wanted to see how it went along from there. I re-read them after I finished the whole series (thus far) and start from book 2, Living Dead in Dallas. If you like the show, you're going to enjoy the books 10x more!

I read most of the books long before the show came out and IMO they are better than the show. They do get better as they go along though

The books are really fun.
I didn't care for the last one, but the first few were really fun reads.

They get SOOOOO much better! I am on #8! I am loving them. Haven't started the tv series yet. Waiting till I finish the books!

They get SO much better! Like the other girls who replied, I wasn't too sold after the 1st book, but definitely after the 3rd! I'm on book#7 right now and I can't get enough of it!
