I spoke to one of my bridesmaid today - one of my best friend going back about 11 years. She is going to rehab out in California - I'm still going to have her in the bridal party. I am bummed that she won't be around but I am glad that she is getting the help she needs...

As long as she is focusing on getting better and her health, thats great. It stinks that she won't be around but at least when she comes back, she will be in a better place.

That is great that she has recognized what she needs and is getting the help that she deserves. What a great friend you are for sticking with her and missing her throughout this!

I think this is bothering me alot more than I thought it would - I feel so distraught today over this and I shouldn't be - I think I'm having my first bridezilla moment but I am internalizing it...

Cause I already have FH's sister who lives out of state - now my other friend isn't gonna be around to help- So now I have 2 girls that are here but she is my friend who I've known the longest out of all of them so it feels kind of sad...

That's GREAT that she is getting help!!!! Good Luck to her! But I can relate. My cousin is like my sister, moved to FL last year and she is my MOH and I feel horrible that she won't be here with me to do EVERYTHING and it's kind of hard because I don't want to pick another BM because then the others might get jealous!

Its more being sad that she won't be here - I know is something she needs to do though so I understand and would never say to someone u can't be in my bridal party now cause of something like this. Its just a big disappointment you know??

aww I am sorry i know!! but think about it like this this is going to help her a lot!! and she will be able to be there for you in the future!!! i know you really wanted her to be there for the wedding but maybe you can communicate with her and ask her for opinions and that way you can have her sort of involved?
