sooo angryyyy VENTT

so my younger brother ( hes 20) asked if he could invite a few of his friends to the wedding

i said yes, he invited 5 of them.

after doing my final invite list and sending them out tonight i told him that he cant have an 'and guest' until my rsvps come back in bc right now im so high, and that for now its just him and his 5 friends, so technically he has 5 guests and if my rsvps come in okay he can invite some random chick(grrr)

mind you, he doesnt have a girlfriend, hes not seeing someone, it would just be a random girl- i know im not geting gifts fro these kids---isnt 5 guests enough???

so i started screaming

I GAVE THE KID 5 GUESTS AND YOU WANT MORE? SERIOUSLY??

then my dad started that how could i take a guest away from him

are you fing kidding me?? he doesnt have a guest

its a random girl

why do you need another guestt

uhh i was in such a good mood
now im sitting here with a glass of wine fuminggggg im so mad

aww so sorry. i totally feel you on this one though. all of FH's cousins want to know why they are bing invited 'alone' ... and my response 'umm bc iam not going to pay over 100 dollars to feed your flavor of the week' ... some people, family included dont get it, weddings are NOT cheap.

i completely agree.

this isn't a backyard bbq, it's a wedding, and he should be thankful your letting him bring 5 guests!!!!!!

Wow your really nice for letting him have 5 friends - I don't know if I could let my brother invite his friends esp bc some of them are d-bags that would want to come just to drink for free!!! Def not paying 100 bucks for them to drink

Tell your brother to pay for his guest himself then if he wants one there!!

You are very nice to invite 5 of his friends! I only sent 1 STD to one of my older brother's friend.

I would tell him to take one of his 5 friends and swap it for a girl. If he doesn't like that, tell him to get over it because you are paying the bill not him!

This- he needs to drop a friend for a girl, or not complain. Simple as that. Then HIS friends will want dates if he brings one! He should have friends OR a date. His choice.

thats crazy...i have a 23 year old brother and he hasnt even asked if he could bring ONE guest for himself (which ofcourse, id be cool with that) but the point is that this is a wedding, not a house party..geez...it was really nice of you to even be cool with 5 extra guests

I would be ticked off. My brother (22) is not getting a guest unless he is dating a girl. He's not even getting a friend. So you were way nicer than me by giving him a friend.

Why don't you tell him fine....he can have 'and guest' but then he can only have 4 friends. That 'and guest' has to be one of his 5.

This is crazy! If he was dating someone that would be totally different but he is going to have friends there, why does he need a 'date'?
FH & I have boys that age and not one of them has asked if any of their friends could come let alone to bring some random chick! If they are dating someone seriously before the wedding they will be invited, if not they are solo!
