he mentioned it a while ago as a way to protect us (even though neither of us has a ton of assets and most of what we have is already joined). so we brought it up again over the weekend and his mom suggested if we wanna learn more about it go to legalzoom. so I did. I sent FH the link knowing exactly the response I would get when he saw the price of just a basic prenup......

you get your stuff back anyhow, even without a prenup.
it's just for things that are weird like owned houses and the value goes up (then your hubby would get half of the increase in value), or if you want to waive alimony (if you ever split up), or some other things like that ...
