sooo much loss....

All I am hearing this week is bad news

First, I was stunned to hear on saturday (on the news) that a great guy who I graduated H.S. with was in a car accident and they pulled his body in a friend's vehicle out of the Nisseqouge River in Kings Park!!! The other man is still missing... he hasn't been found yet. I wasn't 'CLOSE FRIENDS' with this guy or anything, but was friendly with him and h.s., worked together when we were in h.s. at the same library that I ended up getting my Librarian job at, etc. saw him at the gym recently..... and on and off.. always a nice guy.... always a smile on his face.... just not fair!!!!!!!!!!!!

Then, sunday, our best man, FH's best friend's DAD passed away after 12 months with cancer. We went to the wake last night and the funeral is tomorrow.... FH has known this man since he was 10..... and was sooo broken up about it at the wake.. i felt sooo badly........ I am glad I was with him. FH will be a pallbearer at the funeral as well as do a reading........ Mr. K was only 61.

Today I just heard that someone else I went to h.s with lost her mom this morning to cancer!

It is just sooo tragic... these last few days have been nothing but LOSS to sooooo many people!


I pray for all of these FAMILIES .......I was the closest with Mr. K. as his son is our good friend and the best man in our wedding...... but that doesn't mean that I am not effected by hearing about the others.......

just makes you realize how short life is...............

pray for these people and their families!

I totally know what ur going through FH's family just lost a great guy.... total shock, he just collapsed and passed away... he has left behind 2 children and a wife.... It has not been a good few days.....

Live each day to its fullest, and always say I love you!!!!!!

I completely understand how torn up you are feeling and I'm sorry for your losses

We just lost FH's cousin last Monday to cancer--he was only 41.

Oh my!!! This is terrible!!!! Def not a good week! My thoughts are with you guys

I'm so sorry to hear about all your losses. Like you said, it just really opens your eyes and sets you back a little. I'll be praying for you and all of the families. Stay strong!

awww im sooo sorry. Hopefully this will be the last if the bad news. Its horrible!!!

Its times like this when we have to realize that life is too short and so precious - At one point we should all stop and say a short prayer- no matter what you believe in - in thanks that we are fortunate to be alive and healthy ( I hope). I was upset about 2 minutes before I read this- but now, I realize that what made me upset does not hold a candle to how serious it is to lose a loved one and how many people have reasons to truly be upset tonight- goodnight and god bless.

my best friend worked with the teacher who crashed in the lake at the roosevelt charter school...so sad
