My brother bought me xbox for my bday. I know, it was secretly for my FH but it's ok. I am sitting here watching my brother and FH play a video game together. I know that I sound soooooo pathetically gay right now but it makes me so happy that they get along so well. Just wanted to share my excitement!

Aww that is really nice.... Especially when sometimes we can get caught up in flowers, invitatiions, etc... its nice to have a moment to remember that what it important, love and family.....

Exactly...... It's so easy to get caught up in all the other things and forget about the important things. They would both be making fun of me so badly - if they knew that I was writing this! lol

I live for moments like that.. especially because I am marrying my older very protective brothers old best friend. I say old, because we had a rough patch after we told him we were dating.. but now... when they watch football together, play fantasy sports together it makes me happy. This weekend they went to breakfast together and helped my cousin fix up his new house... its the little things... and FH knows how important my family is... it makes me smile to see him putting effort in!

Aww! That's great. Especially in your situation- with them being friends until you started dating. It must be nice to see them getting along again.
In my situation, I think it really hits me when I see them like this because my dad died 2.5 yrs ago. He obviously wasn't around for the engagement and the welcoming FH into the family. I sort of see my brother as the next person in line to my dad when it comes to these sort of things. And it means alot to me that my brother not only approves of FH but gets along with him as well. So, this sort of cheesy stuff makes me really happy!

You girls are so cute. And I am glad I am not the only one who feels this way about these things. It is such a big thing for me that my brother and FH get along and that he gets along with my BILs. My siblings and I are close so it would be hard if one of us married someone the rest didn't like.
We even joke now that we are going to have buy a house across the street from my brother because they go through withdrawl when they aren't around each other for long periods of time

Aww, that's sweet. I agree...Family is so important and it's nice when things work out this way. You should buy a house across from them and then build a little tunnel that leads back and forth from their house to yours!
