soooo distracted w/ 6 weeks to go

Hey all. I''ve been lurking on this board for awhile now but rarely post - I''ve enjoyed hearing all the local info so much, especially since I live in CA - thanks. Just wondering if others feel as consumed as I do with wedding mania. I am having a really hard time being productive at work. Any tips to help the concentration? I feel pretty organized but I still can''t seem to stop my mind from reeling about details. Would like to come back from honeymoon employed and in good standing:)

I completely hear you. Im a teacher working the summer program, and getting married in August, only about 5 weeks to go, but cant keep my mind of of anything, but the wedding. So its not just you. It was flying by a few weeks ago, but the more I think about it, the slower it gets. Good Luck!!

I swore I wouldn't be one of 'those brides' you know the kind. People feel like they have to give you leway or write you off for two months before your wedding because you cant focus on anything else. Its really hard to keep my mind on work.

I just wait for people to tell me what to do. I've got a lot to do too.

I can totally understand being distracted at work. Like right now, I need to be working, but I came here as a little release.

That's all that is on my mind, is wedding stuff. AHHH! :-)

I've got about 8 weeks to go myself.

I have no advice. I'm at work now and on this site! The wedding is such a priority at this time with all the last minute details that it's hard to concentrate on anything else. I daydream during the day wondering how many response cards will be waiting for me in my mailbox at home! Good luck to you and try to stay focused, Daniel Son!

8 weeks for me too-

It is distracting and nerve racking that you may have forgot something or didn't do something right. After the wedding it will be business as usual - so I am trying to just enjoy it all and soak it in.

I feel that way and I have over a year to go! :)

I keep trying to envision how everything will turn out, songs for special dances, readings at the ceremony...all the little details that are so important that I don't want to rush through next year when I am under pressure to get invitations out, confirm last minute details, hair & make-up trials and fittings. (And yes, I am at work too;-)

8 weeks for me also. I really cannot concentrate on anything else. My invitations will be going out tomorrow. I have my dress fitting (2nd attempt) next Friday. I thought I would not be as excited as this is my second time, but I visited the location (Gurney's in Montauk) last week and it looked just beautiful, that now, I can't wait.
