soooo frustrated with dress shopping!!

I need 2 dresses... one for an e-party that my FMIL is throwing us in Massachusetts in a couple weeks, and one for my shower. I've tried things on but haven't found anything that I love!! I have dresses I could wear to both, I guess, but I wanted something new :(

I'm going to walk around near my apartment... there is a White House Black Market, Express, Anthropologie, Ann Taylor, and Ann Taylor Loft...if I can't find something there then who knows

I always have such a hard time finding dresses... I am short, but super long waisted and am very blessed in the chest. So, unless a dress has some stretch to it, it definitely doesn't work for me because by the time I fit the chest in there the body is huge :(
