a group of elderly women just pledged allegiance to the flag and sang God Bless America.
Yup.
background: I work at a Y that runs about a gazillion programs. MY temporary office is off what we call the Social Hall, and most mornings its open for programs for seniors. Well when I got in today a group of about 15 senior women were playing cards. So I go into my office and shut the door. 40 min later I hear them all in unison pledge allegiance and then sing God Bless America. not sure why. it was funny.
now I think they're exercising....

Re: Soooo in the room next to my office...
Aw, I love old ladies.
I like to pick ones out and ask FH if he thinks that's what I'll be like as 'an old'.
I always pick the feisty ones with good hair.

my sister and i watch my grandmother with her sister (used to be sisters, 8 of them, now 2 left) and they hold hands at family events, just sit there holding hands. my sister says that will be us one day. i tell her we'll be hitting each other instead.

Awww.
Mer, when you and I are old ... I'll hold your hand.
While we sit in the cul de sac. Your hottie FH wont be able to cut grass shirtlessly anymore so we can pick out a young hottie to cut grass for you guys and I'll come over and we can sit on the porch holding hands drinking tea and having tea biscuits.
