is it bad that i want nothing to do with wedding planning. We've been engaged since november 07 and were supposed to be married this may but then postponed it. Since that happened...ive wanted nothing to do with this wedding. I dont know if it's because im bitter about it, or that it's 09 and i should be getting married soon. I just feel like it's sooooo far away now and i cant even get a little excited about it. AND i never thought id be having a 2 1/2 year long engagement. I am just so blah...please ladies...help me get back into the spirit!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: soooo over it
what did you re-scheduel it to? if you have alot more time then its ok you arent in the wedding spirit...you can take some time to relax and get back to real life of not being obsessed over a wedding lol it might be a mix of being bitter and feeling its so far away, maybe being disappointed...but thats ok..it happens...and look at the bright side...you wont be so stressed over svaing money...in fact maybe you can save more now and get more things you wanted that you thought you couldnt afford.
i think it will pass

i also got engaged in nov 2007. and its really hard having to wait till long. ive had a bunch of people get engaged after me and planned to get married before me which makes it harder. but then i know we waited this long because we wanted to save up all the money. our days are going to come soon. you can hold off planning for awhile and take a break from all the wedding stuff now.

Oh no, I'm sorry you feel that way. I can understand though. I got engaged last March & we have a two year engagement. I wanted to start booking things and my FH was more laid back about it and that bothered me for a while. Then I realized that it's just his personality and that it didn't have to lessen how I felt about the wedding. I hope that you enjoy your engagement and that you will start to feel refreshed and excited again!

Re: soooo over it
i know how you feel, there have been people getting engaged after me and getting married beforehand, i will have been engaged 2 years and 2 months before i get married- but it was the only way we could do it by allowing ourselves some time to save up

I felt like that too at times, but I think it's good to have little breaks, I def needed one, just enjoy your everyday life so that everything doesn't become about the wedding, and when yours gets closer (you're almost at your 1-year mark!) you will get more into it. Or just go see 'Bride Wars' that got me back into wanting to plan, lol.
