We actually have a surprise 50th birthday to go to. I know.. who does that on Valentine's Day?? w-t-h. We're prob going to go to dinner the next day to celebrate

I don't know but it will be the one year anniversary of his proposal so I hope we do something special!

It is the day of our 'rehearsal dinner' but it is also my dad's birthday so we are telling him it is a rehearsal dinner but really it is a surprise party!

We are going to my friends 30th Birthday party in NJ, so I will probably get something cute and small, but not go crazy. Our V-Day this year is Aug 8. We usually go out for dinner but not this year.

A great idea for someone looking, last year I did a scavenger hunt. I made clues and left gifts and clues all over his house. There were 12 clues in all, each one had a gift (chocolate, stuffed animals, a photo of us). He is an ice cream nut so one of the clues led him to the freezer where I had two containers of ice cream. At the end of the scavenger hunt I had a tin of ice cream sundae supplies.

We both think it's such a commercial holiday we don't really do much. We usually just do cards and go out to a nice dinner or something, and he usually likes to buy me some typical flowers or a piece of jewelry. Last year we went out to have a big breakfast! And I think it was my favorite year so far!

We will probably do the same type of thing again... probably a nice dinner and some wine.
