soooooo mad!!!!!!!!!!

soooooo mad!!!!!!!!!!

I made the HUGE mistake of ordering my wedding gown online through this company that custom makes wedding gowns that are 'inspired' rom designer gowns. The dress I ordered was an inspired version of the Amsale Sash gown. The picture that accompanied the ad was what I was told I was buying. I just received it two days ago, and the sash is totally not the color it is supposed to be!!!! It is supposed to be kind of like a light blue and the one I received is a teal-ish robin's egg blue! It is sooo ugly! Also, the dress doesn't really fit- it is too big and even a little too short! I contacted the designer who refuses to take it back and won't even exchange the sash. Now I am stuck with a dress that I hate.

Piece of advice---- DON'T make the same mistake I did-- you will end up being as devastated as me.

Does anyone know of any good seamstresses that won't cost me an arm and a leg? I have plenty of time--- but it is good to know.

I think you should take the other girls advice about e-bay. you can sell it I bet. Or, the seamstress will work too.

I have one I go to for various things. I think she can do wedding gowns too. Rosie's Tailoring but she's in centereach. I don't know if you live near there. She's on middle country rd, and she may even be a vendor on this site.

Re: soooooo mad!!!!!!!!!!

I am so sorry this happened to you. If you decide to keep the dress, try Phyllis Limmer from gownfind. She is a seamstress and has worked with many girls on this site. I am planning to order my dress from her. Otherwise, I completely agree. Sell it back on ebay. Someone will buy it. What ever happens, good luck. You are going to be a beautiful bride, Lauren!

Thank you all so much for your kind words and reassurance! The woman is being such a beast and I guess I will just have to make do-- I have an idea of what I want to do with it... it just stinks that I have to oh well... its not the worst thing that can happen!
