Soooooooooooo pics in album

i went to just look at a BM dress, and the dress i eyed for a yr now was in the store....

Let me tell you, im not one of those girls to go try on 18 dresses. Ive been engaged for a yr, and never went dress shopping! Tonight was not my night either. I wasnt in the mood....but i couldnt believe they had 'THE DRESS'

I pretty much said to my mom, nope....im NOT trying it on. After a while tho, after four hundred 'just do it's' . I did it.

Girls...there is nothing like trying on that one dress....i almost peed my pants and took it off right away! But my heart is set. I just know it. Only problem is....its expensive I just dont have the heart to ask that of my mom. I have a feeling i might have to try on another dress

ps. it was the lazaro gown thats been in my album forever.

I know EXACTLY how you feel!!! I fell in LOVE with an amazing Kenneth Pool dress... that my mother actually picked off the rack for me... (not looking at the 7,000 price tag)... and she can't afford to buy that for me... and I would NEVER ask her to spend that much on my dress. So, I must have tried on at least 60 more dresses, hoping to fall in love with another dress just as much. I FINALLY found one that I LOVE... (Ok I will still DREAM about the other dress... but I know I can't have it)... but I do LOVE the one I ordered, and so did everyone else. So don't get too upset, I know it s*cks... but you WILL find another dress that you love also! I Promise!!! You just need to give it some time...and have a little faith!!!

Very well said....glad to hear you found another dress within your budget...I remember when you posted about the original dress of your dreams and how upset you were......

If its the dress that makes you feel like a princess and gorgeous thennnnn I say go for it. I NEVER wanted to spend 1400 on a wedding dress...and after trying on maggie sottero, I was SOLD! lol It was THE DRESS, and I just couldnt say no.... how expensive is expensive?? It depends if its like an unreal amount... if you're able to afford it, go for it!!!

I know... it's really emotionally exhausting!
Heres a tip that I figured out though too: Try trying on some dresses that are the complete OPPOSITE of that dress that you fell in love with! This way you are not constantly comparing one dress to the other. If the dress style is totally different (say like a mermaid dress vs. a ball gown dress) then you will be able to see different characteristics that you like of different dresses! Good Luck!!! I had no idea what I wanted then I treid on probably 50-60 dresses I didn't like any! The first one I said maybe too I ended up liking.

I had a set budget. My Mom was suppose to buy my dress but then she had an accident and was out of work for a year I couldn't ask not even for a cheaper dress.

I told myself I don't care I swore I wouldn't buy it and then I found myself talking myself into the $4,000 gown

Finally I tried it on so many times I got tired of it and moved on LOL. I FINALLY found my dream dress that everything I wanted on it.

If you truly love this dress and it's the one then find a way to make it happen. Cut something here work over time there ask your Mom to pay half.....
price getting a replica made etc...

Don't drive yourself to the nuthouse like I did.

i tried on almost the exact same gown.....i fell in love with it but knew it just wasn't me so i never had to make that decision but its a gorgeous dress.

The dress is beautiful on you. I am wearing Lazaro too. But, if its way over what you can/want to spend, you will find something. I fell in love with a dress that was almost 8K (Kenneth Pool) and I just refused to spend that much so I kept looking. The dress I bought was nothing like the KP and although still expensive it was closer to what I was willing to spend but I love it nonetheless and its taken the rest of my wedding in a whole new direction. There is always something better out there, you just have to love and feel beautiful in your gown.

p.s. I still think of the KP somethines and that's ok. Because I also think often of a very simple amsale dress I looked at. I am not a 'the dress' kind of girl. There are multiple dresses for me. The 'dress' is whatever I wear on that specal day.

Im pretty sure i could find something else...its just the dress i knew i would love. And i did love it. I spoke to my mother and sister over the phone for the last hour...and i think im gonna chip in for it. Then i wont feel so guilty. Looks like im working wednesday and saturdays again. I used to have the luxury of working 4 days a week. But its worth it to me, i tried one dress on...one, and i really dont think i need to look further.
