Sorry for the dumb question. FH went to a different ER - they said they still have no idea what type of bite he got that caused such a bad reaction. They cleaned it again, gave him antibiotics and some special type of medicated bandaging. His foot was still swollen and oozing 2 days later! It is crazy? They said its not a tick or spider bite. What the (*&^% ? He was swimming Sunday
I'm so worried because they don't know what it is?

I just read the other posts, no way it's sea lice. Did they look into staf finfections? I hope it goes away, I'm so sorry for him!

Does he remember getting bitten? That would probably help to pinpoint what it was. Maybe he stepped on something and his foot is infected - did he get a tetanus shot?

he got a tetanus shot not too long ago due to his work (he's a fireman). They put him on Cipro and he has to soak his foot 3x a day.

My dad got stung by a jelly fish last summer, and his calf got all infected... It was really horrible. But antibiotics works, and definately soak it... Good Luck!!!
