Sorry I missed the GTG...(a little sad) GOOD UPDATE!

...but my grandmother got rushed to the hospital friday night. She has been in the emergency room of LIJ since then. She is going to be OK, but she has that pneumonia that's going around. I am just worried because she is older, and they may not release her in time for my wedding this friday.

It is really sad to me because my grandfather is also in the hospital - they admitted him on Wednesday & they want to keep him there for at least 3 weeks (he has multiple health problems).

I just feel like my wedding will not be the same with so many people that are not coming. Between all the elder family who is sick & the 9 (yes nin) friends & family members that we lost since our engagement, I wish we could have gotten married sooner.

Sorry, I just needed to vent a little. I will talk to you girls propbably after my wedding, as I will be in the hospital with ,y grandmother most of the time for the next couple of days.

I'm sorry about your grandparents but at least they are getting good care in the hospital.

Maybe you can ask someone other than the videographer to videotape your wedding ceremony and some of the reception and ask the nurses if they can roll in a tv with a vcr for your grandparents to watch?

Do you have time between the church and the reception? Maybe you and your by-then husband can go and visit them? I bet that would cheer them up!

As for your other friends, I'm sorry too about that, it must be very bittersweet for you and your FH. But they are looking down on you and him and so they are still 'watching' you get married

So sorry, they are in the hospital. Yes maybe you can visit them after the ceremony!! I am sure she would love to see you in your gown!! Have a beautiful wedding!!!

Thanks everybody! My grandmother is now out of the hospital, but can only attend the ceremony. I am glad they released her & am glad that she will be there for my day!
