Sorry if this rude...

Sorry if this rude...

I know it isn't the most polite thing to ask people how much they paid for something but I am at a loss. In the beginning like most girls I just knew I could do it all myself. I had a least a hundred DIY projects, one of them being my centerpieces and Bo-k, after lots of thinking I realized theres no way that could happen. Where would I store the flowers overnight? So now I'm looking for a florist but I don't know what is a standard price per table. If you got a package what did it include? I'm not looking for fancy exotic flower, more towards a Garden/wildflower theme
CAn anyone help and sorry if I'm being intrusive.
Thanks again.

I'm not sure what the price break down for flowers is. I am working with Burton's and they have a reputation to be more affordable than some. I would suggesting putting together a budget and calling around to see what you can get for that. Also, I've seen some nice CP's made of votives and very small floral arrangements and I think that looks nice as well... Good Luck!

You're not being intrusive. Flowers range in price. What you want to do is meet with a few florists to get quotes. To keep costs down go with a low CP. Do you have to do flowers? If you do just candles you will save a lot more money. If you are 100% set on flowers, go with flowers that are in season. You can go in to the florist and say, this is my budget, what can I get for it?

I agree, you're not being rude. This site is for us to all help each other out.

The pricing would all depend on what you are looking for. Like the other brides, I was give quotes for $75-85 for low centerpieces, and $125-150 for high centerpieces.

You can prob still DIY a centerpiece if you don't use flowers. If you have a theme and want to just used candles in hurrican vases you can try that. I went to a wedding recently where the bride mde her own centerpieces, it had an Asian feel to it, It was a single orchid plant in a elegant black lacquered box with peet moss and stones in them. It was very pretty and simple. The orchid matched her colors which were purple.

Thanks ladies
Just when you think your getting things checked off here comes another issue. Things would so much easier if I was rich! I just wanted a ballpark figure so that when I sit with florist and they quote me a price I'm not looking at them like thier trying to rip me of and thier not looking at me like I'm delusional with my price range.

depends on the month, flower, size, if its high or low.

In February my CP with Roses (highly prices b/c of V-day) at a high CP was like 150/CP.

There is no ballpark figure, that's the problem. It all depends on what you do. Think of a number you can manage and start meeting with florists. If you say $2k, you'd be surprised by what you can get.

Re: Sorry if this rude...

Well the good things are that i would like a low centerpiece and being that initially I was going to do them myself i bought a bunch of rectangular aluminum planters, hopefully this can go towards cutting costs.

Re: Sorry if this rude...

i personally think my flowers are super cheap. My centerpieces are included from the RH, and I went with their house vendor. granted, I do not have a lot of bouquets (only 2 including mine) but I still think I got a great deal. I'm only paying about $500 including low CPs (like i said, RH includes them), gazebo floral arch, 2 boks, 2 FG baskets, like 12 boutonnieres and 3 corsages. I recommend shopping around and if you want low CPs you should be okay. Go with a local florist instead of a big name.

i also got a great price from Burton's but my RH vendor was cheaper. they are in Massapequa if you are interested FM me.

I know one girl on here used Costco and stored her flowers overnight in a very air conditioned room.

I'm using East Williston Florists located in Mineola on Jericho Tpke. We know the owner, so we got a great deal. But they do have really nice flowers, and they might be cheaper than the places that are specifically geared for weddings. I'd recommend at least checking them out to see what they can do.

I went with Flowers by Rosemarie, she works out of her house in Sayville, and I am paying 75 for high centerpieces, and I think it is 40 for low. Also, someone I know when with Burtons, and she got an INCREDIBLE quote, with any flower she wanted. If you want Rosemarie's phone number, let me know.

We are paying appx $6k for flowers, but we have a very very large space to decorate and are doing a bit more unusual arrangements
