Sorry, need to vent about rude people

Our RSVP cards clearly say 'Adult Reception.' So, why are we getting responses indicating that 5 people are coming: 2 adults and 3 children!!!!

They didn't even call first to see if we would make an exception!!!

I don't understand why people can't understand that it's YOUR DAY. Really.

___ amount of seats have been reserved in your honor

I would mail them back with another card saying ADULT RECEPTION, No children allowed! maybe they'll get the hint!! lol

it's not even about the fact that is my day. It's the fact that this is an adult event. I don't want a bunch of kids running around. We set the cut off at 16.

The people that RSVP'd wanted to bring their 12, 10 and 7 year old. We would have to pay for them, and they probably would not even eat the food. Not to mention the fact that if I let everyone bring their kids I would have over 300 people at the reception.

My FH already called (It was his side of the family) and set them straight. I have no doubt that I will have to the same with at least one member of my family in the near future.
