Sorry - new post. Should I wear a veil?

I am getting married on the beach in July. ALthough I am wearing a typical wedding dress I am unsure about whether or not to wear a veil. At first I didn't want to b/c I wanted to just wear a flower in my hair, but friends and family are telling me I should wear one. One friend said it won't look like I am a bride if I don't wear one (???). Any comments? Will I regret not wearing one? Thanks!

It's possible that you MIGHT regret it.... In the future when you look back at your pics and you do not have a veil. JMO. BUT it's totally up to you.

Just a reminder - you DO NOT need to keep it on the whole time.

You can wear a veil if you would like for part of it.This way you have some pictures with and some without. Its all up to you.

I agree that its a personal decision. One of my very good friends did not wear a veil at her wedding and believe me she absolutley looked like a bride - the veil just wasn't her style. But she did wear a sparkly tiara/headband in her hair. I don't think anyone remembers that she didn't wear one - just that she looked beautiful.

I would try the dress on with veils and see if you like it. YOu are the one who has to be happy, not them.

I was in the same boat, I just didn't want the veil nor did i think i looked good wearing one, BUT I decided to wear it and I am glad I did, I think it just added a lot more to my dress. And I loved how it looked in the pics (although i took some with it and some with out it)

If you do I would just get a 1 tier veil. It might look really pretty with a breeze blowing it

Maybe you can wear the veil for the ceremony & remove it right after

Since you're getting married on the beach, I really like the idea of flowers in your hair. However, you don't want to NOT have a veil and regret it. Since you can get veils relatively inexpensive, I think you should at least try a few on and see how they look. Better to have one and not use it, then not have one and wish you did!

Thanks for the advice - I think I am going to get a 1 tier veil. Something simple and clean looking - any suggestions on where to look? I don't want to spend a lot of $$$! Thanks!
