Sorry to be a downer...

Today is the 5th anniversary of my father's death and I just wanted to let all the girls know who've lost people in their lives recently that it DOES get better with time. I almost forgot that it was the anniversary!

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your families always and especially during this holiday season.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I know how you feel though, I lost my mom about 4 years ago and you never forget them and the hurt never fully goes away but it does get easier with time. It kind of ***** when I think about her not being there for my wedding day though...

Oh man, that is SOOOOOO sad that your dad passed near the holiday time

Though it gets better with time, as you said, the pain never really goes away I'm sure. I'm sorry, sweetie.

Thanks Jenn and same to you and your family. This will be the 2nd Christmas without my dad. Thanksgiving this year was easier than the last. I'm not sure how Christmas will be. I try not to think about it, even though that can be hard to do. My mom makes it more difficult at times b/c she gets emotional over every little thing, where my sister and I try not to. Everything in time, they say!

awwww Jen! You are absolutely right, it does get easier with time...and you are NOT a downer... We share everything with our LIW girls, right? As time goes on its easier to remember the good times instead of dwelling on the loss. My mom will be gone 3 years this Easter...

in january it will be 7 years that my dad is gone. time flies sooo quickly ! i cant believe its been 7 years since ive seen him. its crazy ! but yes , it does get easier with time.
