I have seriously rough skin on my elbows. I put lotion on it every day but it looks like elephant skin on my elbows! I'm totally not a primping type of girl so I dont know the answer to this. Is there something I can get done at a spa to reduce the look of my elephant elbows? They look terrible to me!

Re: Sort of spin off to Gina's facial question
Putting on vitamin E oil, vasoline or a heavy duty lotion is good to soften the skin. You can also do an exfoleant, like a salt or sugar scrub, to help get some of the dead skin off.
At a spa this would usually be part of the body treatment, where they use a scrub with oil on your skin to help exfoleate (or however you spell it)
Since its cold, put the oil or vasoline on at night, and a lotion under long sleeves during the day. I would get this when I was a kid and it was partially from putting my elbows down on things

I'm not really the primping type either, I'll go with mom for a facial every once in a while but that's it. Last time we went for like a spa day and they did this body scrub - it was awesome!!! It removed all of the dead skin and had an oil in it that moisturized so well - my skin came out sooo smooth. You should try it!!

This might sound nutty and I've never tried...but what about the foot creams that are made for the rough rough skin on your heels? I bet that'd work...I have a Dr Scholls night time one that I use and its AWESOME...

That could be from an allergy. When your eyes get like that ... you could be allergic to something. And it could be ANYTHING and it just affects the eye area. That happened to me... sometimes it was mild and then others it was INSANE!!!

I second that. I was going to suggest the Vaseline healing creams, but that stuff is even better.
