I have 12 days in NY to go to florists apts and choose one, pick out shower and wedding invitations, find ceremony music, and pick out BM dresses......how am i going to get this all done? so much for a relaxing spring break!!!

What are you looking for for ceremony music? There's a great violinist who's been playing at the Staten Island mall to promote his recordings. Seriously, FH and I heard him and our jaws dropped, I can give you his name and number if you like? We haven't priced him yet though.

just take it one day at a time. put a timeline together and make sure you schedule appointments for everything. you can do it!

I'm making appts to go to Pedestals and Flowers by brian (since i have to use recc. vendors for flowers).
i'm planning to also go to Bridal reflections in Massapequa since I'm hoping they'll give me a discount for BM dresses since I got my dress at a bridal reflections.
Ceremony music is what's kinda worrying me b/c i want something special since it's not in a church..but also someone that can accompany the singers in my family.
I also plan on meetin with some DOC, ryan from above and beyond and maybe 1 or 2 others. I need someone to ease my mind on that day!!

wow, that's a lot on your plate, but i'm sure you'll be able to do it. if you're anything like me, you can make a decision on the spot and be very happy with it!
i only saw 2 RH and i picked one of them, met with a band and booked them, etc... lol

Ok.....make appointments for florists before you get here. You can do a few a day. You will make that decision easy. I would go with a florist that knows you RH well. Thats what I'm doing. Bc then they know what kind of flowers work, what centerpieces work, etc.
Invitations you can pick out online! So don't stress. Vistaprint is awesome. I think I found my e-party invites today! But there are lots of sites. So that doesn't necessarily have to be done on your visit. Or you can surf the web at night.
BM dresses....go to a big store in the city that way you will see a large selection. You can always find it in the city and then google the designer to see where you can get it cheaper outside the city. It might just save time to find one at a big store. If you know the style you are looking for, that would be helpful too.
Are you looking for a band or DJ? And are you talking music for the reception or the actual ceremony?
You will get it done! It is definitely do able. And you can still enjoy the beautiful weather here in NY!

For ceremony music I highly recommend the Capriccio Ensemble. I'm having them as a string quartet, but they can do all sorts of instrumental combinations. My mother is a classical singer and will be accompanied by them as she sings during the ceremony, so they should work for the people in your family who are singing.
Also, I'd do what the other girls suggested and order your invites online. That will take a big load of stress off you. There are just so many great online sites.

did you look into Janet King, the harpist that is an LIW vendor? That would be something special to have during your ceremony.

If you are looking for a DOC please please please give Gina from Bleu Diamond Events a call. She is AMAZING!!! You will not be disappointed! All that stress will disappear and you will SAVE money. I never thought I needed a DOC but now I realize how much smoother things are running and I am almost stress free!! Good Luck!!
