sorta need to vent

so a few months back i talked to this flower shop and they said they were willing to create my CP for a certain amount of $ and that i had plenty of time to decide what i wanted. last week i went to the same flower shop with my vase (i bought about 20 of the eiffel tower vases) and an arrangement i did in silk flowers and told them i wanted something like that. they said they couldn't do it. saying something about it being top heavy ... TOP HEAVY?! what CP isn't top heavy .... ugh ... so now i'm contemplating on doing my own flowers ... i know a good nursery by brush hollow .... what do u guys think? am i biting off more than i can chew? it's friggen 2 months to my wedding date :(

oh another note ... i'm going in for my alterations for the first time tomorrow and the dress is 2 sizes too big *lol* ... i'm so screwed

I personally couldn't do my own arrangements, but if you know what you want and feel up to it, then go for it....it'll save you a ton of money.

I'd ask to speak to the owner of the flower shop. I don't see any reason why they couldn't do your design. If they can't, then they should show you some other samples similar to your vision. You're the one paying them and they should be working to make you happy.

I wouldn't do my own flowers, but I am not a DIY person. Good luck at your fitting -- be happy its 2 sizes too big rather than too small! I was told they can take dresses in up to 3 sizes, so you have nothing to worry about!
